Welcome to Youth Speakers Lab (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and programs, including public speaking workshops, 1:1 coaching, and any educational content offered online or in person.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using this site, registering for any program, or submitting any information, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

Our services are designed primarily for youth participants. Anyone under the age of 18 must obtain parental or legal guardian consent before using our services or submitting any personal information. Youth Speakers Lab complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and California law, and takes additional precautions to ensure the safety and privacy of minors using our platform.

  • Use the platform for its intended educational purposes only

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring and guiding their children’s participation. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a program or suspend access due to misconduct, misuse, or violation of these Terms, without a refund.

3. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal data are outlined in our [Privacy Policy]. In compliance with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and COPPA, parents or legal guardians have the right to review, delete, or correct their child’s data by contacting us directly.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without verifiable parental consent. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of personal data as described.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Group Classes: You may cancel a group class 7 or more days before the scheduled start date for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable, but the full amount will be credited for future use with Youth Speakers Lab.

1:1 Coaching: You may cancel or reschedule a 1:1 session with at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [Insert Contact Email]. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.

5. Program Access and Content

Upon registration and payment, you will receive access to the specific services purchased. Access is limited to the individual registrant and may not be shared. We reserve the right to modify content, schedule, or instructors as needed to maintain the quality of service.

6. Student Submissions and Recordings

Participants may submit written, audio, or video content (e.g., speeches) as part of our programs. By submitting any content, you (and your parent/guardian, if under 18) grant Youth Speakers Lab a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such materials for educational, internal evaluation, or promotional purposes—with appropriate consent where required.

Sessions may be recorded for training, feedback, or safety purposes. Recordings will not be publicly shared without explicit written consent from a parent or legal guardian of any minor featured.

Before pursuing legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve any issue with us directly in good faith. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim.
